Catherine Reynolds

Catherine is currently working part-time as a Youth and Community Development Worker supporting the ‘Trans Youth Wrexham’ Project, funded by the People’s Health Trust. The project, managed by West Rhyl Young People’s Project, is supporting gender variant young people to become active agents of change in their lives.

Catherine has a professional background in both health and education services. Throughout her career Catherine has worked as a teacher, school counselor, senior lecturer in H.E., Education Services Co-ordinator (PSHE), Health Improvement Manager, freelance consultant, facilitator, trainer, writer, evaluator and public mental health strategist.

Catherine has worked for the National Mental Health Development Unit as a Specialist within the Population Well-being and Mental Health Team during 2010-11. Catherine is a Senior Associate of The Royal Society of Medicine, a member of the International Initiative in Mental Health Leadership and a trainer for Royal Society for Public Health.

Catherine Reynolds and Brian Dobson undertook research commissioned by Liverpool Charity and Voluntary Services (LCVS), ‘Being, Belonging and Becoming. Trans people’s experiences of living, working socializing and accessing services in Liverpool’, November 2011, The DAO Collaborative.
